Powerful Presentations

Write them, Deliver them

Writing Presentations

Boring, uninspiring presentations have always been part of corporate life. A yawn a minute, the speaker reading from the slide, you know how it goes.

But now, with our new reality of non-stop virtual meetings, death by Powerpoint is simply not acceptable.

Presentations need to be stronger than ever to engage audiences and to hold their interest. If you’re wondering why your presentations aren’t delivering the outcomes you need, it could be time to upskill.

Your presentations can be lively, colourful and engaging. Why not try using different software? Why not learn ways to get multimedia experiences into your presentations, so that your audience finds them immersive and empowering? Most important of all, why not break your presentation down into interesting, relevant digestible pieces? And then build a meaningful, persuasive slide deck that will win over even the most critical colleague.

I can show you how. Give me a call today.

Delivering Presentations

The statistics don’t lie. Between 70 and 80 percent of the world’s population go to pieces when they have to speak in public. The medical term is ‘glossophobia’ – the deep-rooted terror that strikes the heart of most people when they have to step up and give a speech.

Nowadays, most public speaking will probably be happening over Zoom, in the corner of your spare room where you work from home. Or you might need to make a video of yourself delivering a speech, as part of a job application process or a work proposal.

Whatever the occasion, good deodorant won’t be enough to give you the confidence to present with panache. You’re going to need to learn skills. And you’re going to need to practice them in a supportive environment.

I’ve spent most of my adult life working in front of a camera so I know all about deodorant. But I also know the skills that make the difference. Some of them are about the content of your presentation (see above – I can help with that too) but others are about the way you deliver it. There are tips and tricks that will get the audience on your side from the beginning, and keep them interested right till the end.

You’ll stand out from the crowd for all the right reasons. Your colleagues will wonder what’s happened – how come you’re such a good speaker all of a sudden?

Do you want to get that reputation for excellence? Give me a call – and take the first step to making WOW presentations.

Here’s a testimonial I got recently:

I couldn’t recommend My Media highly enough.  Grett’s incredible communication skills, imagination and tireless effort, took our run of the mill powerpoint presentation and translated it to an engaging video piece which we were delighted to launch.  The dedication and care taken at every stage, from detailed preparation to recording, filming and editing, resulted in a clear, concise and appealing presentation we can be very proud of.  Thanks again Grett!
